CASSEN Testing Laboratories is a chemical testing laboratory established in 2000 and provides a wide range of analytical services in support of environmental health evaluation, forensic investigation, indoor and green building initiatives, occupational health testing, technology certification testing, chemical characterization, specialized studies and research projects encompassing an extensive list of chemicals. With in-depth chemistry knowledge in combination with highly sophisticated instrumentation, we have routinely carried out highly complex studies to solve many chemical-related problems. Some of the research projects have led to new products formulation, innovative services and a comprehensive database for the laboratory. We serve many segments including all levels of government departments and agencies, resources sector, manufacturing, institutions, transportation, energy and engineering consulting companies nationally. For the past two decades, CASSEN and its key scientific staff have conducted numerous chemical method developments and science-based studies in support of Government of Canada's initiatives such as First Priority Substances List (PSL-1), Second Priority Substances List (PSL-2); Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA), Chemical Management Plan (CMP), and Flame Retardants in consumer plastics, etc. CASSEN also acts in the capacity of chemical expert for litigation cases for law firms and prosecution cases for governmental agencies.

CASSEN Testing Laboratories is an AIHA-LAP, LLC (ISO 17025) accredited laboratory and has participated in many proficiency programs such as IHPAT program, United Kingdom LGC Standards Proficiency Testing, Phenova Proficiency Testing and previously the United Kingdom Workplace Analytical Scheme Proficiency (WASP) Program administered by Health and Safety Laboratory (HSL).
